Biggity Burger Joint

In my lifelong quest to find the most delicious, satisfying, juiciest burger ever, I have found that Big Boys Buns 'n' Burgers in Larkfield is a top contender in the burger game. I've frequented the place quite a lot recently, just coveting that burger day and night. My favourite is the simple, but epic Bacon Cheeseburger. A piece of heaven in every bite. 1/3 lb beef chuck, leaf a lettuce, tomato, the sweetest pickle, cheddar cheese, bacon, special sauce all on a regular or white bun. In season 4 episode 2 of How I Met Your Mother (beloved sitcom on CBS), Marshall goes on and on about the Best Burger in New York, well we are a nation away from the Big Apple but I like to imagine the burger Marshall longs for is a Buns 'n' Burger bacon cheese burger, or at least the same passion is there. Watch the show, eat them burgers.

Return of the Wildstyle Fashionist...

Wow! words can't explain how dope the Rakim show was. Before Rakim made his appearance, there was a quick performance by Rhymefest which was also pretty dope. He even invited some people on stage to do a little story cypher! Unfortunately, Optimistic Mind and myself were a little to star struck with awesome rhymes to go up there... Next time that little voice of doubt in myself won't be so loud! I was expecting something less extravagant and more tone down due to Rakim's slow clam flow and from previous show experiences with older MCs I.E. Gza. I didn't think that a veteran like himself had it in him to move the crowd like he did. His DJ, Technician was also cutting up records like non other! Rakim was defiantly one of the best showman I've ever seen. I guess all that experience really pays off. Go and get The 7th Seal dropping November 17th!
"Hit the Studio, Cuz Im paid in full!"

Also on a side note, never let the little things get to you. Life's way to short to be feeling negative!

Watering Hole

Allow myself to introduce...myself. It is I, Marlonson, and i am giddy with joy to have been asked to blog along with my good pal, Bong Junior. Well let's take a little ride, shall we? Continuing on BJ's idea of Santa Rosa being one of the raddest cities on the map, last night in a state of inebriation, a few friends and I, namely Kev and DSB, collectively came to the realization that we are lucky to have a low, down, scummy bar like none other than the 440 Club near Downtown Santa Rosa. The 440 Club is conveniently nestled in a part of town my friends and I like to call the Scum District; a gritty concrete jungle where long time friends of mine grew up stuntwooding and shoulder tapping for some good old hard liquor. Where else can you order an Alabama Slamma, pay a buck for 3 song credits on the juke box, and even have a Safety Meeting on the side of the bar while your bros shotgun brews in the porking lot Tiltmode Army style...440 Club, that's where! So if you are itching for a rad time, a bomb Surfer on Acid, bumping into old friends, perving on some strange or just toasting to the HAMMER Toan Locc dropped at City Hall, then I suggest you get off your pooper and get over to 440 so you can buy me another Whiskey Sour cause this one's on a magical journey to the center of my liver.

We Were Once a Fairy Tale by Kanye & Spike Jonze

Uneasy is the head that holds the crown

Little Big City

Taking a recent trip out of town this weekend made me think about how different I would have become if I lived in any other city besides my little big city. I hear a lot of people complain about Santa Rosa and how it is too small. In actuality, Santa Rosa is a fairly large city it's just that the culture around it is almost a kin to small towns around it. But everyday we meet new people and see new faces, it's not like we constantly see that same face on the street on any given day in any given neighborhood. Life is a constant flow of new memories, visuals, and feelings. Why take that time up with negativity? Instead of complaining about something, find something you like, or try and make a change to what you don't like until it accommodates your expectations. In short, enjoy your surroundings and ignore negativity. Positive is where it's at, it feels much better

Elzhi's The Preface

The Preface by Elzhi is a must. This is one of the albums that I can constantly listen to and not get sick of. The album is mostly produced by Black Milk, who is another Detroit native with a dope flow and also a dope production game. Get this album and enjoy the good music!

UNDEFEATED

Always feels good when you come home and something is there waiting for you. About a week ago I ordered a hat from UNDEFEATED and it came in the mail today. There was a bit of complications with the website but once I gave them a call, everything was cleared up pretty quick. Shout outs to Chris over in L.A. for the awesome help. Picked up that U Ball 5 panel snap back in the Giants colors. Niceeeee. Steadily I've been making that switch from fitted caps to snap backs... I blame this transition to watching many episodes of Maestro Knows. Now Im not the type of person to go and indorse random brands but I have to admit that UNDEFEATED's line up of clothing did impress me. Similar to many underground clothing lines, UNDEFEATED has select stores around the world including Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Silver Lake, Las Vegas, and a couple spots in japan. Pretty dope clothing so if your into street fashion I would go check out UNDEFEATED if your ever in those areas or just stop by there online store. Yaowwww!

Ill Music for the seasons

Raining pretty hard out here in the little big city of Santa Rosa. Pretty dope though, I happen to be one of those weird mutant people who actually enjoy the rain. But to get you through this hotbox season for all those who indulge in the combusted properties of marijuana (inside joke) or those who are non smokers like me and call the rainy seasons the "stay at home and play video games all day" season, a little bit of music! Just picked up that new Skyzoo album The Salvation. Supreme lyricism and dope beats makes one ill album. Skyzoo's name seems to be appearing all over the place within the last couple months along with his D.C. native college, Wale. Quite a buzz going down in the under ground hip hop community. It's awesome to see that there is still MC's out there who are all about hip hop rather then just using it as a form of currency. Gives me hope for the times ahead. I highly suggest you go and pick up yourself a copy of it!

Ballin On a Budget

If your ever in San Jose and your as much of a seafood enthusiast as I am, you got to check out this place called The Boiling Crab. Unfortunately I didn't get the "before the meal" picture, only the evidence of me being there was captured. Ordered 2 lbs of cajun spiced shrimps, 6 oysters, 2 sides of rice, gumbo, and some fried catfish with a basket of garlic fries to top it off. The dopest thing about it is when I got the check I only shelled out about 50 bucks! You can tell how stoked I was by the picture. Thus balling on a budget and the motivation to make this post!

There are so many dope food spots around here that not everybody knows about and they don't cost an arm and a leg. Off the top of the head I can think of a couple and this is not in any certain order of course...

1. Port of Subs in Santa Rosa - Ill deli sandwich place with the freshest of meats (everybody probably knows of that one)

2. Taqueria Mi Pueblo in Petaluma- Got mad awards and defiantly makes a mean shrimp burrito

3. Mr. Pickles Sandwich Shop in Downtown Santa Rosa - Deli spot

4. Cheese Steak Shop in Santa Rosa- The King of Philly rules planet earth (can you tell Im also a sandwich enthusiast)

5. and last but not least... well I think the picture will explain it all...

Since this was off the fly I can't really think of anymore spots. But no worries next time Im out and about getting food I'll make sure to keep this subject in mind. Till next time!

INSPIREVISION!!!!

Well I have decided to make this blog site mostly for those following my hip hop group Alkhemy and also because I enjoy blogging and sharing my thoughts and visuals with people but still separating myself from the movement of bloggerific mini blogs known as twitter... Yeah we all strive for individuality now don't we. Anyways besides the point this is the first of a new chapter! Im going to start posting up anything that comes my way that motivates inspiration including food, fashion, music, etc. I'll also be using this site to put out downloads of the music Alkhemy will be creating. Lets see where we go from here. Don't forget to check out my hip hop group at myspace.com/alkhemymusicpage.

Shall we get to inspiring? Yes I believe we shall!
